PLANETA TERRA - September 8th
Planet Earth cries for Help!! Everyone must change their habits, transforming the way they live and see the world. Something so widespread and profound never happened since human life started on Earth. The environmental issues are the greatest challenges we all must face and solve. "Planet Earth" is the new art show of Solange Rabello Art Gallery with Carmem Gusmão, Rose Lobo, Ricardo Koebsch and our special guest Tom Britto. They are artists who recognize that, while enjoying magnificently diverse cultures and ways of life, we are an Earth bound community sharing a common destiny. “We must join forces to create a globally sustainable society based on the respect of nature, human rights, economic justice and a culture of peace”, says Carmem Gusmao.
The exhibit will open on September 8, and these artists will express themselves through their art, a strong instrument of awareness. “We are creating a somewhat polemic show, as a silent cry suffocated by the smoke that comes from unbridled progress”, adds Rose Lobo.
“Our intention is to modify the way people think, creating challenges, promoting actions”, concludes Ricardo Koebsch, who is coming directly from Paris just for the opening of this exhibition.
Landscape artist Jennifer Davit will also participate in the exhibit, facing the challenge of monitoring plants’ growth through unconventional processes, as well as the plastic artist Tom Britto, who finds in art a way to express life.
After September 8, these artists will present their canvases in acrylic, oil, mixed techniques and artifacts with movements, colors and textures, which will be as seeds blown by the wind, generating new seeds.
Solange Rabello Art Gallery, located in the heart of the Miami Design District, as a project conceived and committed to quality, is getting recognition as an important "showcase" for Brazilian art and artists in the South/South-Eastern portion of the United States.
